MS Walk, Mississauga, Gaby Mammone

Gabriella as the emcee at the 2012 Mississauga MS Walk.

Gabriella Mammone was born and raised in Thompson, a small town in northern Manitoba Canada.  She enjoyed growing up in the winter weather and fondly remembers her father’s ice sculptures in her front yard.  She relocated to Mississauga, Ontario with her family when she was a teenager.  In her mid twenties, Gabriella experienced temporary loss of peripheral vision in her left eye and extreme lethargy.  She had tingling in her hands and feet in addition to feeling spastic.  Loss of coordination and numbness was a common occurance for Gabriella.  At the age of 30, Gabriella was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She lives with MS daily.

Gabriella is a devoted wife and a loving mother of two children.  She is also an entrepreneur and an active volunteer with many organizations and functions.  She has a zest for life and appreciates the beautiful things that life has to offer – a gerbera daisy, hot apple cider, a warm blanket, a smile from a stranger and a great voicemail message.
